I can imagine that's especially fun when you create your own poses and when you're good at making up your own stories (I'm simply not talented enough for that, I need the game to guide me). But the game is very suitable to illustrate made up stories as well and in that case poseplayer is a great tool. I love following the game and the pictures when I'm making up the stories of my sims. I also get frustrated with the many, many poses out there - I find the process really complicated. There's nothing wrong with using Pose Player, but for my style of 'storytelling' it's more trouble than it's worth. (I guess that makes me a Paparazza? LOL!!)Įdited to add: I just want to make clear that I think either way of storytelling is OK. writing a story and arranging my Sims to fit the narrative.) I guess peope who use Pose Player are 'Illustrious Authors' while I'm more of a 'Journalist' reporting on what my Sims do autonomously. I tend to do my storytelling based on the pictures I snap in game, rather than the other way around (i.e. I suppose it's useful for making family shots or something like that. I used PosePlayer for a while, but I find it frustrating to use. package files, not even this time of year.
If the new object is there, though, there's something very wrong with your game. You'll need to find it and remove Pose Player from there.

If it is not, then that would be further proof that you are working with the wrong Mods folder and there's another The Sims 3 folder somewhere on your computer that the game is reading. Something cheap, obvious and easy to find, like a chair or another random piece of furniture.ĭelete all your cache files and start up the game. So in your case, I recommend *installing* a random object in your Mods folder. That is all there is to it, but you already said that this wasn't working for you. To remove it, you just remove it from your Mods folder and delete all the cache files before starting up. You already made a topic about this as well.
#The sims 3 pose player mod how to#
Please, does anyone know how to remove it? You can also position them by holding the Alt key and moving the mouse in the direction you want them to face, this can come in handy if the pose involves sitting on a chair or couch.I need to uninstall the pose player!!! I've tried so many things and it wont get out of my game!! Now you can place them wherever you like. You can now move your Sims in Buy mode (as well as many other objects) without them conflicting with other objects. Now type in moveobjects on and hit Enter.
So press Control+Shift+C and a small text box will appear at the top left corner of the screen. You will, of course want to positon the sim as well. If you want to pose another sim, just select the desired sim and repeat the process. (i.e.) a_splad_cuddly1 - sitting on a bench
Note: The name of the pose should be located on the page where you downloaded the pose (or in the file you downloaded) and hopefully with a description and picture of what that particular pose is. The sim will now hold that pose until you cancel the action. A text box will pop up, type in the name of the pose you wish to use (eg. Select the Sim you wish to pose, then click on the Pose Player and Select Pose by Name. Now purchase it and place it anywhere on the lot. Go into Buy mode and look for the Pose Player under the Decorations/Miscellaneous section (it will look like clapboard and at the cheap price of $1).Launch the game and play as the family you wish to pose.Once you have both the Pose Player and Pose files extracted into your Packages folder, you are ready to play!
